WHAT IN THE HELL IS A Y.T.?????

Throughout the course of his musical career, Y.T. aka Yearning For Truth aka Yung Tilt has won over the hearts of music lovers from all walks of life. Performing at a variety of venues, making dozens of appearances, all the while recording new singles, Y.T. aka Yearning For Truth aka Yung Tilt has earned the admiration and affection of countless fans, serving as both inspiration and role model.

29 year old Geoffrey Meade has always had a "deep passion for the power music can give people". Better known as his stage and artist name- Y.T. aka Yearning for Truth and to label mates and close music friends as TiLT, is a Hip-Hop Rap artist reigning from the mean L.A. County streets of Inglewood California. 

Y.T. has dropped a few projects in his 4 year tender into music and performing. "My Inspiration is JEALOUSY" The leak, in which, HE LEAKED reached BRONZE success on DatPiff and the front running single and video "Need A Lot" also brought in good views and criticism that left Y.T. in a "down-timed" interval to either continue and finish his story, or finish his other dream in becoming a Physician's Assistant. He states "I have been receiving massive feedback from local artist as well as national ones. Good, bad and ugly. Saying that 5 years ago, it was; 'Yea lets knock it out' or 'We got this show, that and th 3rd show this month..', but now after taking this 3 year break to take care of my baby girl it's like 'It has to be a hit, nothing less' because as I begin to get even older, it's like when I had to make the decision to let football go. I just couldn't and I still have trouble in facing it, but it had to be done. It's not feeding my kids, my household." Younger brother and main influence, producer and sometimes shrink as Y.T. calls him, Tyree Ree Realz Forrest is someone he pays a lot of respects to in regards to keeping Y.T. into music. Y.T. said "Ree has told me numerous times- 'This ain't getting us nowhere Tilt'; 'How these other sounds getting more play'; 'I want to quit'. And because I really rap and perform with him, FOR HIM because I need to make something happen for my lil brothers. That is what I strongly, deeply feel, is my Life's purpose. I do not ultimately have to make it, if I help in any way, shape or mother f***in form to get my lil brother up there." And now, with major collaborations and productions featuring the vintage tag "...Realz ONDA Beat..." with some of Sacramento County's reigning and new upcoming artist, Ree Realz is now climbing into the Independent bracket with vintage songs from Ree Realz & Y.T.'s 1st installment to their collaborative projects the "West Coast Devastation" series and the just recently dropped "WCD II- West Coast Devastation 2" in August of 2016 with a video coming for the project. 

"Ya'll already know this but being born in Los Angeles, Beverly Hills to be exact, raised out of Inglewood, living in Watts, South Central L.A., Compton, Downtown, one thing moving around taught me was there's nothing more valuable, reputable, memorable, HONORABLE than LOYALTY. Family come thick and thin in blood, but loyalty is what makes you family and in this music, with it I got a family of individuals I have known for 10 plus years, but also ones I've known probably 10 months to 10 days and for the love of music, we can come together. Realz gave me that when I was in Sacramento with no one other than my 2 Suns and having to provide for them on my own 2. My lil bro saved me more times than none so Ima always pay that favor times 10!" 

In asking Y.T. aka Yearning for Truth, "What's next?" he lets it be known that "3 years ain't stopped sh*t, I lost a lot of FAMILY who predominantly wasn't blood related family, but we were family. So them lost ones and my brothers is what brought me back after a real dark patch in my life. But I'm good, and this music is going to be even better. Bet that 100 plus 4!" His upcoming releases include a relaunch of 'A Whole New Ball Game', 'West Coast Devastation 2 The Album' and his self proclaimed "My Inspiration is.." series debuting 'My Inspiration is Pain' as he says he is "contemplating" on making that an EP or just a project.
